are a girl or a woman,
Go for the CoderGirl Scholarship
Half of the world are female, but only a few of them choose to study and work in tech. This makes half of the population barely represented in an industry that defines our digital future.
However, there's a clear improvement in the quality and usability of products when women are involved in the development process. We created the CoderGirl Scholarship to make tech more accessible to girls and women, and invite them to take part in creating a more diverse future.

Gender stereotypes in tech: not just wrong, they’re expensive
Too many women still think that coding requires special skills or competencies that they don’t have. This is so not right. It’s been proven that women and men can equally make great developers. What’s more, women are believed to be more empathetic and creative in general, and these traits are a big plus in programmers.
IT shouldn’t be a male-dominated industry. However, only 8% of developers are female on a global level and a mere 17% in the EU. In the meantime, 53% of European companies report difficulties in finding qualified IT people. The widening tech talent gap makes them postpone digitalisation, slow down innovation, and get left behind in the race.
A fundamental change of mindset about the gender problem in tech is not just about decency and common sense. It’s about revenue, bottomline and survival.
It’s time to get real. Come and break new ground with us: study programming for free with our CoderGirl Scholarship, and start a new career in tech for a better, diverse digital future.

Shaping the digital future
People tend to overlook that there is no such thing as gender or discrimination in coding. Your skills will always be measured according to your results. If anything, the current low number of women in IT can be an advantage: since value is often based on scarcity these days, women have the opportunity to become rare diamonds among smart gemstones. In the end, it only depends on whether you are willing to put in the work to reach your goals. Simone Oberhollenzer - Student Admission Specialist
In a world developing at hyper-speed due to digitalisation, we are already living in the future. Involving more women in the field of technology is not just a trend, but a crucial element in efforts to adapt to a new era. In tech jobs, soft skills are equally important as hard skills, and if girls are doubting their capabilities, now is the time to feel empowered to start their journeys in tech. I trust we all believe that it’s time to break stereotypes. We already know that women can code. And women will definitely code. Claudia Tamási - Country Manager Romania
Being driven and inspired to learn, grow and create are traits we all have within ourselves, regardless of gender. Teams, companies, families and societies are happier and more successful with true gender balance. Despite this, we still have a significant gender gap in the field of tech. With this scholarship, we want to close the gap whilst helping women to understand what we already know: that they have the skills to write the code of the future.
